Welcome to Sonn'ata's website
Sonn’ata is a mobile app which aims to learn the basics of music to anyone who want to start in this field. With multiple classes and trainings, this app will help you to learn how to read a score, improve your musical ear and read a rhythm. The app can also help professional musicians with a metronome and a mini-piano.
|
The application is divided in four main parts. Each one will help you to learn a different skill.
Lecture de notesThe « Lecture de notes » section will allow you to learn how to read music notes on a score. It is composed of classes to learn the basics, and a mini-game to practice.
RythmeIn the « Rythme » part, you will learn to understand and recognise rhythms. The course part will explain you the principle and will allow you to listen some exemple of rythmes. You will next be able to practice your ability to recognise them at first. Then it will allow you yo to train to stay in the rythme at a definite pulsation.
|
Dictée de notesThe « Dictée de notes » section will allow you to train your musical ear. It provides a sound library composed of multiple music notes. After that, you will train to recognize them.
A vous de jouer !In the « Rythme » part, you will learn to understand and recognise rhythms. The course part will explain you the principle and will allow you to listen some exemple of rhythms. You will next be able to practice your ability to recognise them at first. Then it will allow you yo to train to stay in the rhythm at a precise beat .

Some information about the Sonn'ata project
The Sonn'ata app was developped in the context of a project led by four students in engineering school supervised by Mr. Max-Hubert Belescot. They had one month to create it. This app was shown during the « Journée des Projets 2020» at ESIEE Paris. In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the development of Sonn'ata was entirely done in distance, each student at home.
You can find this project as well as the other project of this day on the site of ESIEE Paris: jdpvirtuel2020.esiee.fr The 2020 projects will be available from July 2020 to July 2021. |
Nowadays, more and more people start to learn music by themselves. However, they are limited by their lack of musical knowledge. They are forced to read tablatures to play a piece. It greatly reduce the pieces that they can read and play. In this context, the aim of our app is to allow someone to learn how to read a score and to practice to acquire the basics of music: reading of music notes, recognition of music notes and rhythm management.
